The Problem

The number of things demanding your attention is going up. Your attention is not.

The software world is saturated with hundreds of apps doing different work for you, with a big gap: notifications, messages and alerts are scattered everywhere, open loops (work in progress) without a single trusted layer between humans and those hundreds of interruptions in daily life. A layer that tells the difference between “this needs you right now” and “this can wait.”

You are that layer right now, and it costs time and efficiency.

Emails, chats and meetings compete for the same attention. Each interruption asks you to switch context, decide whether something matters, and find your place again. Keeping up with work becomes work of its own. More ways to send a message do not automatically give you a better way to decide what needs you.

As apps gain agents, they can bring more work to a person: questions, proposed actions and follow‑ups. We believe those agents need an interface that coordinates their work and makes the decisions requiring you clear.

How does Kyra solve it?

We’re building Kyra to find open loops, handle the routine steps, and bring you the decisions that need a human.

Connect your apps. The goal is to gather context from email, messaging and calendar in one place: replies you owe, follow‑ups you promised, commitments you made.
Closes the routine. Drafts the reply in your voice (you approve, edit or ignore), handles calendar back-and-forth, books the slot, chases what people promised you before you notice it slipped.
Drops the noise. Newsletters, FYIs, threads that resolve themselves.
Brings you what matters. A brief with the decisions that need you, on glasses, by voice, or on Mac.

Local processing is central to the design. We’re building support for local models and optional cloud models. Cloud features can send selected context to a provider; the settings and data flows need to be clear before you connect. We’ll publish the supported options and controls as they become available.

Hardware

We start with a Mac and iOS app because that’s where most of your work gets done, and move to our own wearable stack, audio-visual ambient glasses controlled by a ring, that only surfaces the most important things, which you reply to, dismiss or confirm from the ring.

The same engine, on hardware that asks less of you. These are the planned interactions; final hardware specifications will be confirmed before shipment.

Why Now

Software used to be programmatic. LLMs have changed what software can do: it can reason, anticipate, and act on your behalf, given the right plumbing around it. What we are building right now wasn’t possible a couple of years ago.

Every era of computing had one defining interface, the agent era hasn’t yet.Kyra is that defining interface of the agent era.
