We’re looking for a content director who is also a hands-on videographer. You’ll work alongside the founder in San Francisco, filming the people, prototypes, and moments behind Kyra as they happen.
Beyond shooting, you’ll own the creative direction of everything Kyra puts out: how the brand looks, sounds, and tells its story across launches, social, and the website. This role suits someone who wants to both hold the camera and decide what the story is.
What you’ll do
- Shadow the founder day to day in San Francisco and capture founder-led content, product demos, behind-the-scenes footage, and interviews.
- Set the creative direction for Kyra’s content, including tone, visual style, formats, and the overall narrative.
- Plan, shoot, and edit short-form and long-form video for X, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and the Kyra website.
- Build a repeatable content calendar and decide what we make, when we publish it, and why.
- Shoot product photography and footage of the glasses as prototypes evolve toward launch.
- Review how content performs and use what you learn to sharpen the direction over time.
What you’ll bring
- A portfolio of video work you shot and edited yourself.
- Previous experience directing content for a brand, startup, creator, or studio.
- Strong command of cameras, lighting, and audio, plus editing tools such as Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or DaVinci Resolve.
- A clear point of view on storytelling and taste, and the confidence to own creative decisions.
- Comfort working fast in a small team, often with little more than a camera and an idea.
- Ability to work in person in San Francisco.
Good to have
- A background from an art, film, or design school.
- Experience creating content for consumer hardware or technology products.
- Photography, motion graphics, or sound design skills.
