This notice covers the Kyra website, waitlist, early reservations, the Kyra app for Mac, and messages you send to the Kyra team. The glasses are still in development, so how they will handle data is described separately below.
What we collect
When you join the waitlist, we send your email address, signup time, and the form’s placement to Brevo, which manages our waitlist contacts and sends your welcome email. We also keep your email address, welcome message, and sending status in our database to avoid duplicate messages and troubleshoot failures. We use your waitlist details to send the Kyra updates you requested. Joining the waitlist does not create a paid reservation. You can unsubscribe from updates or contact us to ask for your waitlist details to be removed.
When you start a reservation, you provide your name, email address, phone number with its country calling code, and agreement to the reservation terms. When you submit a valid checkout request, we save those details before opening Stripe, even if you do not complete payment. We store them with your reservation reference, the terms you accepted, payment and refund status, and relevant dates. We do not collect unsubmitted form entries.
A reservation may also record campaign labels from its link, the referring website’s hostname, the reservation entry page, and your browser’s time zone. If our hosting service provides an approximate country, region, or city through configured trusted headers, we may attach that location to the reservation. These details help us understand where bookings come from; they are not a verified identity or shipping address. We do not request GPS access or save a raw IP address in this reservation record.
If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you include in your message. Our hosting providers may process connection details, such as your IP address, browser information, and request logs, to deliver and protect the website.
How we use it
Your reservation information is used to create and manage your booking, connect payments to it, handle refunds and fulfillment, and respond to support requests. Security records help prevent duplicate bookings, abuse, and unauthorized access.
Campaign and approximate location information helps us understand demand. Referring links are reduced to a hostname; we do not retain their full paths, query strings, or fragments.
You can browse the product pages without providing a name, email address, or phone number. These details are needed when you choose to make a reservation.
Payments & providers
Payments take place on Stripe-hosted Checkout. Your email address, reservation reference, and payment details are sent to Stripe to set up checkout. You enter your card and billing details directly with Stripe; your full card number and security code do not pass through Kyra’s checkout server.
Kyra keeps payment references, amounts, billing contact and address details returned by Stripe, a limited payment-method summary such as card brand and last four digits, and payment, refund, or dispute status. Billing details are kept separately from the contact details you enter on our website and are not treated as a confirmed shipping address. Stripe explains its handling of personal information in its Privacy Policy.
Reservation confirmations and payment or refund updates are sent through Resend when email delivery is enabled. We keep the recipient, message content, provider message reference, and delivery or failure history so we can troubleshoot missing messages. This integration does not use email-open pixels or track clicks, and a reservation does not subscribe you to marketing emails. Resend describes its processing in its Privacy Policy.
Website hosting, database, and email providers also process information needed to deliver their services. A link to X takes you to a separate service with its own privacy practices.
Browser storage
The reservation flow uses an essential cookie to let your browser securely retrieve your booking and access the remaining-payment flow. It lasts for up to 200 days unless you clear it sooner.
Temporary session storage remembers a checkout attempt so retrying does not create another booking. Clearing browser storage may mean you need help recovering access to your reservation. Stripe may use its own cookies on checkout.
We use Google Analytics on the public website to understand visits and how people explore Kyra. It uses cookies and processes information such as pages visited, browser and device details, and approximate location. We do not load it on the private reservation-status page or send reservation form details as analytics events. Google Signals and advertising personalization are disabled in our tag configuration. Google explains its processing in its Privacy Policy. You can block Google Analytics with browser privacy controls or Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
Kyra for Mac
Kyra for Mac reads your WhatsApp messages and Google Calendar so it can show you what needs you. Your messages, calendar, contacts, notes and Kyra’s memory are stored on your Mac, in files only your Mac user account can open, and are not copied to Kyra’s servers. This part explains what does leave your Mac, why, and how long we keep it.
Your account
You sign in to Kyra with Google, which shares your name, email address and profile photo with us. We keep them with your Kyra account, encrypted, and use them to know who uses Kyra, to help you when something goes wrong, and to tell you about Kyra plans. You can ask us to stop sending you plan news at any time. Our records identify your account by a pseudonymous ID rather than your Google account ID. Kyra’s service uses your IP address only in memory, to limit sign-in attempts, and does not store it.
How much you use Kyra
Kyra’s AI requests go through Kyra’s own service, which records for each day the AI models used for you and for which feature, with the number of requests, tokens and errors, how long they took, which provider answered and what it cost. It also counts, for each day, the requests it turned away and why, such as a usage limit or an expired sign-in. Your Mac also sends a daily count of what Kyra did, such as how many messages it read, how many commitments it opened or closed and how often you opened Kyra, whether setup steps and updates succeeded, a few facts about its state (whether memory is on, whether WhatsApp is linked, and how many hours since a WhatsApp message last arrived), and the version of Kyra you run. These records are counts and those facts only: they never contain your messages, names, phone numbers or titles. Your Mac sends them automatically while you are signed in, and we link them to your account so we can understand what Kyra costs to run and plan its pricing.
Crash reports
If part of Kyra crashes, your Mac sends a short report saying which part, which version, and when. It contains none of your content, and we keep it for 90 days.
Your messages and AI
To understand your messages, Kyra sends the recent part of the conversation they belong to, including your own messages and reactions, to AI models from OpenAI and Anthropic, and to a model run through OpenRouter. Group chats are read too: a short check of their new messages decides whether the rest needs reading. Deleted messages are not sent, and neither is anything from a person or group you told Kyra not to read. Before text leaves your Mac, Kyra replaces email addresses, phone numbers, links, street addresses and the names it recognizes with placeholders. What a message says still has to be sent for Kyra to understand it, and Kyra will not catch every name.
The text passes through Kyra’s service in memory only: we never log or store it. Each provider processes it under its own terms. Kyra’s memory is on unless you turn it off in Settings. While it is on, passages from your messages and the facts Kyra learns from them, with the same replacements, are also sent to OpenAI to build a search index that stays on your Mac.
Kyra may also ask your phone for older messages of a conversation and read them: with memory on, to remember what was said in it, and when you ask about a chat Kyra holds no messages for.
Connected accounts
Google Calendar is connected through Composio, which holds the access you grant Kyra and makes the calendar changes Kyra carries out for you, with their real titles and guests. When Kyra adds or changes a meeting, Google Calendar may email the people invited. WhatsApp links to Kyra as a linked device: the link and your WhatsApp messages stay on your Mac.
Feedback
When you send feedback from Kyra, we receive what you write, your name and email so we can reply, and diagnostics Kyra attaches: app and system versions, connection status, recent log lines and Kyra’s last few decisions, with phone numbers and WhatsApp IDs removed. A screenshot is included only if you add one. Feedback reaches the team by email and in Slack, and we keep it to improve Kyra unless you ask us to delete it.
Keeping and deleting it
We keep your account details until you delete your account, and usage records for as long as we run Kyra. When you delete your account, we delete your account details and separate your usage records from you, keeping only anonymous counts. Signing out of Kyra on a Mac stops that Mac sending anything; it does not delete your account. To delete your account or your feedback, email team@kyrainterface.com. What is on your Mac stays there until you delete it.
Who handles it
Kyra’s service runs on Fly.io in Singapore. Google handles sign-in and your calendar, OpenAI, Anthropic and OpenRouter run the AI models, Composio connects your calendar, Resend and Slack deliver feedback to the team, and WhatsApp carries your messages. Each handles data under its own privacy policy.
Glasses & AI
The glasses on this website are product demonstrations. Browsing these demos does not give Kyra access to your microphone, personal tasks, reminders, or device notifications.
Local notification processing is a product direction still in development. These previews do not establish that all future processing stays on your device. Details about voice capture, connected accounts, AI providers, storage, and deletion will need to be specified for the product you use.
Keeping your data
Reservation and transaction records support your booking through payment, fulfillment, refunds, and any related disputes. Some records may also need to be retained for accounting or legal obligations. A fixed retention schedule has not yet been published; contact us for information about a particular record or to request deletion.
Reservation access uses a private browser token. Treat recovery links as confidential, and avoid including card details or passwords in support messages.
Your choices
You can ask about the information Kyra holds about you, request a correction or deletion, or raise a concern by emailing team@kyrainterface.com. We may need to verify that a request relates to your reservation before sharing or changing its details.
Available rights depend on where you live and may include access, portability, restriction, objection, and making a complaint to your local data protection authority. Some transaction records may need to be kept even after a deletion request.
Changes to this notice will appear on this page with an updated date.
